National lockdown: stay at home
Due to the latest Government restrictions all of our leisure facilities are now closed until further notice. This includes all Leisure Centres, Horsehay Village Golf Centre, Telford Ski and Snowboard Centre, Telford Ice Rink and the Town Park Visitor Centre.
We’re sure you can appreciate the situation we find ourselves in is constantly changing and we are having to react with very short notice to changes in tiers and guidance.
Our play areas in the Town Park will remain open but the Cherry and Maxell gardens will be closed to public.
Our fishing pegs are now open, view the guidance on fishing.
We will also be opening the external toilets in the Town Park by the visitor centre and these will be open daily Monday – Sunday between 11am - 2pm, they will close for cleaning in rotation during these opening hours.
National lockdown guidance
Whilst in the Town Park we ask that you adhere to the central government guidance:
- do not meet others from outside your household or support bubble socially unless for a permitted reason
- exercise is permitted on your own or with your household or support bubble
- please stay 2 meters apart from people you do not live whilst in the Town Park or 1 metre with extra precautions in place such as wearing a face mask.
We are hoping that we will be able to re- open when restrictions are lifted. We will keep you informed about our plans.
Event update: Bryan Adams, Tom Jones, and Olly Murs are coming to Telford Town Park
- Bryan Adams will play the QEII Arena on Saturday 3 July 2021
- Olly Murs will play the QEII Arena on Saturday 26 June 2021
- Tom Jones will play the QEII Area on Sunday 27 June 2021

Toilets
Public toilets, including disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are located within the Town Park Visitor Centre – please note toilet facilities are only available during the parks visitor centre opening times.
Southwater One
Public toilets, including disabled toilets, changing places toilet and baby changing facilities are also available on the ground floor of Southwater One (SW1), located a short walk away from the parks play areas.

Food and drink
Place in the Park – food kiosk
Hot, cold drinks and snacks are available from the Kiosk located outside our Visitor Centre, so why not visit here to refuel before or after your stroll around the park.
Opening times (March to October):
- Weekends 10am – 5pm
- School Holidays 10am – 6pm.
Please note: this business is privately operated.
Vending machines
Drinks and snacks are available in the vending machines located within the Visitor Centre reception.
Ice cream van
Our ice cream van can be found situated outside the entrance to the multi-use games area selling Ice Cream throughout the summer months as well as a wide selection of ice lollies and cold drinks.

Room hire
Looking for a space to hold your meeting, workshop or small event?
Room hire is available at our Visitor centre.
The room has the following benefits:
- equipment available for hire such as an LCD TV screen and flipchart
- an outdoor space is available as a breakout area / creative workshops
- close to local amenities including Southwater, Telford Centre, Telford Ice Rink, Sky Reach, Tenpin and Cineworld
- birthday parties.
Catering can be arranged for an additional cost. Please contact the Visitor Centre for a quote.

First aid
Telford Town Park has a number of First Aid qualified staff.
For each day the Visitor Centre is open, a designated employee is the appointed First Aider.
He/she is supported by other suitably qualified employees, which includes employees at all levels of the Park team, from Managers through to front line delivery staff.
Defibrillator
Telford Town Park is fortunate enough to be equipped with a public access defibrillator (PAD) this is located outside our Visitor Centre.
Clear instructions on how to use this equipment in the event of a cardiac emergency can be found on the equipment’s secure box.
Lost children
Our Visitor Centre also acts as a lost children / lost parents meeting point. If you should lose a child, please speak to any member of staff who will be able to seek assistance for you.
Call in at the Telford Town Park visitor centre to collect your child safety band.

Picnics
You will be spoilt for choice where to have a picnic here at Telford Town Park. There are picnic benches located by the Visitor Centre, Spout Pool and in the Teenage Activity Zone.
We also have picnic areas in our learning zones located around the park including Randlay Pool, Blue Pool, Stirchley Chimney, Stirchley and Dawley Platform and The Silkin.
