  • Getting here – level access to the Visitor Centre is available from Southwater via the main entrance into the park at Spout Pool. This is a 10-minute walk.
  • Car parks – Southwater carpark is the closest accessible parking (provide link to carpark maps)
  • Dark Lane carpark has level access to the park and is a 10-minute walk to the Visitor Centre and main play area.
  • Main pathways routes around the park have a hard surface. The Nature and Heritage trails are signposted and have an accompanying leaflet which can be collected from the visitor centre downloaded from the website. Where possible an alternative level route is provided to avoid steps.

  • The Adventure Golf is wheelchair accessible. Access to the gate is via a steady slope.
  • Disc golf is located on the village green area and has a grass surface with several undulations around the course.
  • Maxell gardens are accessed via hard standing pathways and a one-way accessible route to the deck area via a slight slope.
  • Chelsea gardens are accessed via hard standing pathways and are on one level and fully accessible. 
  • The Quiet Garden located behind the Visitor Centre are fully accessible and on one level.
  • Play areas are located on a gradual slope with hard surface accessible pathways to each individual play area. The play areas have a variety of wet pore, bark, and sand surfacing.
  • The Teenage activity area is in the main play areas and is fully accessible with hard surface pathways and courts.
  • The Bike hub is located within the main Visitor Centre and has level access.
  • Fishing is available at several pools managed by Telford and Wrekin Council; Telford Angling Association and Dawley Angling Society please see individual websites for more access information. The Withy Pool is managed by Telford & Wrekin Council and has a large wheelchair accessible peg and during business hours vehicle access for disabled badge holders can be arranged by calling 01952 382340.
  • The Withy Pool has a new access pathway down to the dipping platforms. This has a slight gradient and is a chicane design.
  • The Visitor Centre is fully accessible and on one level. We have accessible toilets, main reception area, and education room.
  • There is a hearing loop in reception. Well behaved dogs on a lead and assistance dogs are welcome.
